Presentation of the Domaine du Carrubier and its Wines :

The Domaine du Carrubier, (La Londe Les Maures, Var), has been a family estate since 1974.

Its 25 hectares of fully classified Appellation d’Origine Protégée Côtes de Provence vines nestle close to the sea and the Maures hillsides in the 88 hectares of the estate.

Its exceptional wines, Rosé, White and Red are the potent and faithful expression of this especially privileged soil.

Since its acquisition by the family, the Domaine du Carrubier has been run with great care based on the integrated viticulture approach to both the vines and the surrounding environment.

The use of the most recent equipments combines with a strict respect for traditional techniques of culture and wine-making: no chemical disbudding, no artificially added grass. Rather a fertilization process which respects the land's own organic equilibria, together with a constant maintenance of a proper drainage, of effluent processing and a mechanical cultivation which perpetuates the in-deep rooting of the vinestocks.

The harvesting of grapes is done entirely by hand: the grapes are first sorted in the field, they are destalked before being put into into the vats.

Must oxidation is prevented by means of in-house designed methods, the temperature is tightly controlled throughout the wine-making process. Bottling is done in the Domaine by a renowned mobile unit. All year around, the Château du Carrubier wines are managed by our Oenologist, Mr. Gilles Baude.

The Rosé (Two Gold Medals by Concours Général Agricole 2023, Two start by Guide Hachette 2022) is the most characteristic wine of the Appellation: its bouquet and lingering fragrance with exotic notes combine with an excellent stay and an elegant and sensitive pink hue. Delicious by itself as a drink, it perfectly matches with your meal all along and will also accompany your parties.

You will enjoy the remarkable floral notes, the aromatic and fruity intensity of the White (Gold Medal by Concours Général Agricole 2023). Dry and vivacious, it is the perfect companion for all fish and other seafood.

The Cabernet stocks endow the Red (Gold Medal Concours Général Agricole Paris 2018, Silver Medal Concours des Grands Vins de France Mâcon 2019, Silver Medal Prix Plaisir Bettane Desseauve 2019) with body, firmness and fin-de-bouche tastes seldom found in the region, with Syrah adding fruit and spicy overtones, perfect with all meat dishes and cheeses.

The Château du Carrubier wines are offered in a distinctive 75cl bordeaux type bottle with classical as well as stylish label which meet their refined and aristocratic character.

Their high qualities are being regularly recognized by awards in the most internationally renowned wine competitions.
